## StepFailed


A step exited with an error, so nothing was recorded.


Usage

StepFailed(

```


The recipe's views were removed; its work files are kept for inspection.


## Attributes


`step`  
The step file, relative to the project root.

`returncode`  
The step's exit code; negative when a signal stopped it (on Linux and macOS: -9 is SIGKILL, often from running out of memory).

`stderr`  
What the step wrote to its error output: all of it, or its last 64 KB, with a note saying how much came before.

`recipe`  
The recipe the step belongs to.
